Tết Tân Mão 2011 Festival


Our purpose in hosting this event is to maintain and preserve the wonderful tradition of the Lunar New Year Celebration. We would also like to take this opportunity to share our Vietnamese culture with other ethnic groups and to demonstrate some of the many skills and talents we bring with us. This event will afford a great opportunity for the growing Vietnamese population in metro Atlanta to meet each other as well as make new friends and allow diversity to shine throughout the metro area.

In that Spirit, The Vietnamese Community of Georgia would like to cordially invite you to attend our Tết Tân Mão 2011 Festival.


 

                 When:                        Sunday Jan 30th 2011, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM

                 Where:                       Live Oak Plaza - 6100 Live Oak Parkway, Norcross, GA 30093

                 Admission Fee:       $5 dollar. Free for kids under 36 inches or people who wear "Áo Dài"

Event main program


  • Welcome, Raising the Flag, National Anthem, Burning Incense


  • There are fun activities like Lighting the firecrackers, Dragon Dance and Lucky Money given out to children (LÌ XÌ) for the New Year. There will be wonderful entertainment provided by singers and artists like Lưu Việt, Trung Tuyến, Lam Trường, Thanh Hương, Lâm Quỳnh Như, Thụy Ni, Suga, Trúc Giang, Thùy Linh, Hà Chi, bé Thục Nhi. Graceful dances will be performed by Modern Dance group and the young children of Minh Đăng Quang Temple. Emcee's Lâm Quỳnh Như, Felix and Mai Trâm and the music of the band Trùng Dương will keep the stage interesting all the times.


  • There are many interesting contests with valuable awards for winners. All children, adults, men, women are encouraged to register and participate in these contests.
